Must-Have CTMODS Selections

Field Notes / 01

Built from the problems we met in the field.

Born from real setup friction.

We started with setups that were harder than they needed to be. That friction became our starting point: build the missing pieces ourselves.

Popular setup questions

MODEL How do I confirm my Starlink model?

Look for the model name in the Starlink app or on the dish or power-supply label. CTmods product pages show a clear compatibility badge for Starlink Mini, Standard Gen 3, Standard Gen 2 and V5. Shop by model

POWER Power bank or DC cable — which is right for me?

Choose a power bank for a portable, self-contained setup. Choose a direct DC cable when you already have a compatible 12V–36V vehicle, RV or battery system and want to avoid inverter loss. Compare power options

RUNTIME How many hours of runtime should I expect?

Runtime varies with battery capacity, signal conditions, temperature and other devices charging at the same time. As a practical guide, a 99Wh model typically provides about 4–5 hours, while a 129.5Wh model can provide about 6+ hours. Treat these as typical-use estimates, not guaranteed runtimes. Shop portable power

MOUNT Which mount matches my vehicle or campsite?

Suction mounts suit clean, smooth glass; clamp and pole mounts work with many rails and fixed setups; tripods are best for portable ground use. Always check the supported surface, load limit and stationary or mobile-use guidance. Find your mount

OUTDOOR What can stay outside in rain, heat or snow?

Outdoor protection varies by product. Check each product page for its exact waterproof or weather-resistance rating, operating limits, materials and care instructions before leaving equipment exposed. Shop outdoor-ready gear
